ReChurch Inc
FIRST ANNUAL REPORT 2025
Introduction – Senior Pastor’s Report
As I close in on 21 years of ministry at Roxburgh Park Community Church/ReChurch/ReChurch Inc., I some unique perspectives. Before that, of course, my recollections extend all the way back to a newly established Connect Group in Dallas, around the corner from the McKenna family whom I would meet some years later. That new Connect Group was an extension of the small groups ministry of Sunbury Community Church – the first church Anne and I planted back in 1990 – and was established on the proviso that it would become a new church plant. It did officially become a church plant in 1997.
And so, I have unique perspective from those humble beginnings right up to where we are now, as ReChurch Inc.
Never has our church been as financially solid as it is right now. Never has there been such depth of leaders and emerging leaders as there are right now. Never have we had such assets entrusted to us by God, and now steward carefully each week, as we have right now. Never have we had such a rich worship ministry, Connect Group ministry, prayer ministry and community outreach strength through the foodbank, as we are now seeing – and more, as the enclosed reports show.
God has been faithful.
Our teams have been faithful.
These annual reports from the leaders and other ministry people in our church tell a rich story of God’s amazing faithfulness as we have sought to serve Him in 2025. In February the church voted to become an incorporated association – a very wise move in an increasingly complex commercial and legal world. To become ReChurch Inc. has given the church new legal and commercial status, capacity and advantages we did not have previously, and has afforded us so much more protection in terms of potential liabilities and so on. The incorporation process could not have gone more smoothly, or swiftly. The whole process reflected God’s favour on us all, I believe.
These reports, some brief, some more detailed, show a picture of many moving parts to the overall ministry of ReChurch Inc. – they’re snapshots that capture the various ways our ministers (the ones doing ministry amongst us!) serve the Lord and the church family they love so much. I am so grateful for each one of them – and I honour them for the loving commitment and, at times, significant personal sacrifice.
In some ways this year as felt a bit messy for me personally as I have relinquished my Senior Pastor role at Wallan Gateway Church after 11 years serving there - thanks to the grace and generosity of all of you. We said goodbye to Ps Tony who took up the reins there, and this allowed me to fully focus on the ReChurch ministry – there were quite a few loose ends to tie up (there always is in such situations, of course) – and I am starting to feel on top of things. It has definitely been so rewarding to feel so much more available to ReChurch with the single-focus role.
Each of the ministry reports in this first annual report reflects a number of things – they each reflect these things in their own unique way. These are faithfulness, perseverance, commitment, grace and investment. Some ministries are well-established and are flourishing, other are just beginning to hit their straps, while others have just taken root. But here’s the thing, as I view the overall operation. Each person investing what God has entrusted to them – their talents, spiritual gifts and initiative – have seen a return for the Lord that honours and glorifies Him.
Some “returns” from well-established ministries have been very good, yet even fledgling ministries like Refresh Women and Refuel Men, though just emerging, have also seen wonderful “returns on investment” that foreshadow even greater things to come.
I have the privilege of serving with a special eldership group who express their love support and encouragement to me in many ways. They pray for me! That is just the best! We welcomed Richard Yeboah to the elder’s group earlier in the year as an elder in training and his ministry contribution has been solid, as you’d all expect. The other elders have been long-serving: Kerry Looi, James Looi, Ian McKenna, Joshua McKenna and Anne Oliver. On your behalf, I thank them for their gracious faithfulness and their deep love of the ReChurch family. I say “long-serving” with the thought in mind that no one serves in eldership indefinitely, and so, in 2026 we will seek to add more elders in training to the eldership so that they are ready to take the reins when others “retire”.
In recent weeks we have received a letter from Wallan Gateway Church indicating their desire to disengage with our registered charity, Compassion North Inc. This is a not entirely unexpected. The process of disengagement in a spirit of good will is well under way and will be completed by November 15th, 2025. This returns Compassion North to the full “ownership” of ReChurch and will mean all its resourcing capabilities will focus exclusively on ReChurch mission initiatives. This is a good thing.
In addition to all this, the administration team has been exploring and trialling church admin software to facilitate new ways of enhancing our church connectedness. The current software package is cost effective and will provide so much more capability for communication, resource access and so much more.
Finally, our operating environment, from a spiritual perspective, has dramatically shifted in these last 6-7 years. Our society is seeing so much more malevolence, disturbance and unrest, as well as moral decay than we have ever before seen. Most of what we are seeing is demonic activity ramping up in the spiritual realm. It is brazenly manifesting in the natural, visible realm, because the city walls are broken and our nation is so open to attack.
Proverbs 25:28 (NLT) “A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.”
This means we are going to see so much more challenge to our ministries in the new season. If there is one major challenge to us as a church it is that of becoming a ruthlessly committed people of prayer and intercession. Dear friends, we must take this challenge seriously. We have never faced such an environment as this before, and we need to gear up and prepare for new challenges that will manifest on our mission front. What we have relied on previously – the intercessory efforts of a few – will not be enough. New prayer ministry, deliverance ministry and intercessory ministries will be coming online.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (NIV) "When I [Yahweh] shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
The initiative is with us. The promise will be enacted by God. This is the greatest challenge ahead of us.
Having shared all this with you – and there is so much more I could write – I feel deeply in my spirit that ReChurch is poised for greater things than these. The best is yet to come!
Thank you all for your grace and love over 21 years. It has made my ministry amongst you such a delight.
In grace and much love.
Milton
Eldership - Anne Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The Elders of ReChurch feel privileged to serve the church in this leadership capacity. We work closely with our Pastor, Milton Oliver. This year we have added Richard Yeboah as an Elder in Training and we welcome his contribution. The Elders have faced some difficult pastoral and ministry situations. We always work through these things together until we find consensus and peace form the Lord. We have also discussed possibilities for our next Pastor. At this stage we have not found a suitable candidate. We are trusting the Lord's provision in this. We also trust the Lord with regards to our finances. Of course, we must be responsible in this are, but we feel we partner with the whole church and the Lord as we work to meet our needs and reach out into the community.
Challenges:
· Search for a new Pastor.
· Ongoing financial provision.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We celebrate what the Lord is doing in our wonderful church family. We also thank God for our Pastor Milton, who is sacrificial in his service to us and who genuinely loves the Lord, His church and its people.
Prayer Points:
· Wisdom and guidance.
· New Pastor.
· Opportunities for more outreach.
Vision for 2026:
Our vision is God-given and is the vision of the whole church and, as elders, we are custodians of it.
THE MISSION AND VISION OF RECHURCH
Mission Statement (What we do)
“RESTORE! REJOICE! REIMAGINE!”
This three-word statement expresses ReChurch’s mission heart. Our purpose - what we do in making disciples – is aimed at seeing people restored to relationship with God the Father; rejoicing in the new life and joyful power of that as worshipping community, and helping people to reimagine life as God intended it to be as they find new purpose and a fulfilling destiny. This mission is necessarily community-shaping and is based on the cultivation of an intentional and uncompromising disciple-making culture. These three words – RESTORE-REJOICE-REIMAGINE are at the heart of the Good News and are the drivers of our mission which is faithful to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Our Mission is to make disciples who, themselves, become disciple-makers.
Vision Statement (Where we’re going)
“We believe God has called us to become a vibrant, multi-cultural church of mature, mission-hearted and passionate Christians, such that the communities of Hume City are greatly impacted and influenced by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by our compassion and sense of hope, a powerful healing ministry will flourish and through the planting of more new churches more will know Christ. We believe God has called us to become a strong, prophetic, and generous church quite able to greatly encourage, resource, and empower other churches and ministers in their mission contexts and ministry endeavours.”
Our Mission-Vision Strategy (How we do it)
Our Mission and Vision will be achieved by,
1. Growing together in close relationships and deepening discipleship experience and accountability through the CONNECT Group network and the LifeShapes initiative.
2. Creating a disciple-making culture where maturing disciples have a passion to disciple many others.
3. Developing in ministry experience and effectiveness through the training and equipping of maturing disciples who can effectively engage in their Primary Ministry (that is, using their spiritual gifts and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit).
4. Reaching out with compassion, care, respect, and support to our community through our community-based programs, counseling, and LifeKeys ministries.
5. Planting and establishing new missional communities in strategic places in Melbourne, Australia.
6. Sending people into the community equipped to find the people of peace with whom they share the Good News of the kingdom of God.
7. Establishing strategic kingdom partnerships with other churches, agencies, and leaders, and collaborating with them to encourage fresh missional outcomes.
Finance - Kristine Lutter
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
We are pleased to report an encouraging increase in giving over the past few weeks, which has enabled us to secure essential resources for our immediate needs and future endeavours. - We have diligently worked on the transition of all financial documents to reflect ReChurch Inc
Challenges:
As we move forward, we are mindful of the rising costs we are facing but, as always, we trust in God’s provision.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We acknowledge and celebrate God’s unwavering faithfulness. Even during uncertain weeks, we have consistently been able to meet our financial obligations, and for this, we are deeply grateful. - We appreciate the abundant provision from our God and thank each individual who has contributed to His mission.
Prayer Points:
Giving to be maintained, even over the holiday seasons.
Acknowledgements:
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the ReChurch family for their steadfast generosity. - Additionally, a special thanks to Yanina for her valuable support as we navigated the challenges associated with our transition to ReChurch Inc.
Vision for 2026:
I hope to engage the Elders regarding their specific vision moving forward a little more and learn more insights that will help plan future budgets. Our aspiration is to continue securing the necessary resources for our immediate needs while also fostering ample opportunities for investment in the Kingdom – seed for bread, and seed for sowing.
Rejoice Kids (Kinder-Grade 4 students) – Eva McKenna
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
Our team consists of myself, Robyn, Rennei, Beatrice, Abigail and Adelle. It has grown by one (Adelle) this year. Which has been quite helpful in the rotation when preparing term rosters which has been a big achievement for rejoice this year. Rejoice has grown in numbers of children also, with a larger group forming in the younger age bracket (4-6).
Challenges:
There is the ongoing challenge of always having enough people on the team. And so, I will never say no if a gap can be filled, or we can have another addition to the team. Call me! I have had some parents query why we are not doing extra Rejoice programs outside of the Sunday window (like we had previously in 2022 - 2023 on Saturday nights). My explanation is always “Sorry, but I haven't had the time this past year or sufficient team to do so – of course we’d like to explore these kinds of opportunities again. I think, with the implementation of the Young Families ministry, I just thought that would naturally replace the "fellowship" part. Having a real and meaningful team connection or fellowship that is not rushed is so important. Often, we come together once a term on Sunday at end of the service for only 30mins because everyone has family commitments soon after which does not allow time for us to breath and really spend time with each other. We’re working on it.
We celebrate/thank God for:
Programming has been fantastic this year. The content and delivery have been wonderful. The children have soaked up the learnings and been really engaged and have expressed the fun they are having. Prayer has been more intentional every week and children just are so good at sharing their love for God and their love for their family. Praise God!
Prayer Points:
· The team to have a good time of fellowship.
· Continued growth in children's prayer time.
· For God to refresh the team but also thank them all for their commitment and grace towards me.
Acknowledgements:
Robyn - her dedicated commitment. Beatrice - for stepping up in her support this year. Rennei - her courage to run kids’ ministry - she has done such a great job. Abigail - her generosity to help run kids even with her baby. Adelle - thank you joining Rejoice this year and support the team. The worship team for inviting the children to participate in singing, dancing and reading bible verses. The children have really felt a connection to the whole of ReChurch and it has blessed the parents just as much. Thankyou.
Vision for 2026:
First it would be great to have some professional development as a team nothing too fancy but a couple of hours of rich learnings, time of fellowship, prayer and sharing. We’ll explore this. This could be watching a video or listening to worship music. Maybe Redefine Jnrs leaders could join in, too. This maybe something at the beginning of a New Year when there is the transition of children going from Rejoice going into Redefine Jnrs. We’ll lock in a calendar date early for a Saturday night Rejoice event, too, that way we all know in advance. Continue the organised program folders of the lessons as this has very much helped our ability to run Rejoice Kids smoothly this year. It really has been a blessing.
Redefine Juniors (Grade 5 & 6 Students) – Kerry Looi
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
Term 1 of 2025 saw the creation of this new ministry area to cater for a specific need in the senior Primary School age group. It has been exciting to see the children enjoy learning the about the character of God and His promises, as well as the impact of the Fall, the consequences of Sin and the Redemption of Christ and what that means for them personally. With a core group of four, the numbers have varied from two to ten throughout the year to date, with some families leaving and new ones coming. The children have grown in understanding and confidence of who God is. It has been wonderful to see them step out and try new things within the church community whilst they have become a supportive, caring and encouraging group who are will and able to share prayer points and to pray for one another.
Challenges:
Inconsistent attendance has sometimes meant an important topic has been run two weeks in a row to ensure the key messages reached as many children as possible. With some children only attending fortnightly due to family circumstances and the impact of winter sports and illness, we have learned to be flexible.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We are grateful for being able to be a part of this ministry area in serving God and witnessing how He works in and through children. It has been a privilege to see the children grow in their understanding of the foundations of faith, and their ability to identify for themselves personally, where the need for salvation sits. We have seen a recent baptism of one of the children and it has been wonderful to see the children gain confidence in praying for each other, supporting each other and building relationships. The children have gained confidence through being part of the worship team for Family services and assisting with leading communion. Seeing them grow in confidence and assurance is such a privilege.
Prayer Points:
· That the biblical truths the children are learning through the studies be the cornerstones for them to build their individual faith journeys upon.
· For wisdom for the leaders and more helpers to come on board next year.
· For the transition of the older children into the Youth Ministry.
Acknowledgements:
Particular thanks to Linda Karman who has been a wonderful support as co-leader and a great role model for the children. Linda and I are very grateful to Yanina Oliver who has prepared the teaching each week and provided all the resources we, as leaders, could possibly need. This has not only made our job easier but has provided the children with solid biblical foundations and fun activities to help consolidate the teaching.
Vision for 2026:
As we head towards the second year of Redefine Juniors, I pray the ministry will continue to grow with new families coming to the church, and that there will be a real sense of excitement for those coming from Rejoice Kids to the next stage in their journey, as they prepare to head to secondary school. Based on feedback from the children we will aim to schedule some extracurricular activities into the program as a way to solidify their connections with one another. There are plans for a pyjama party/pizza and games night to be held towards the end of 2025 and for these types of connecting spaces to be an intentional focus in 2026, perhaps twice during the year. Adding additional helpers to the team will be a goal for 2026 to provide coverage for absences and to meet needs as the numbers grow. This will also provide opportunities for those called to children/youth ministry to grow in this area and step into their gifting. The solid biblical foundations of the teaching in the lessons will empower our young people to stand firm in this transition period from Primary to Secondary School and equip them to be secure in their identity based on the truth of God’s word.
Redefine Youth (Year 7-12 Students) – Dean Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
It’s been great to see younger leaders stepping up and facilitating youth nights on their own this year. Our youth are drawing closer to the Lord and building stronger connections with one another through the Sunday morning program and our monthly Friday nights.
Challenges:
Attendance can be sporadic and since we have a small team, this can be quite challenging when leaders are away.
We celebrate/thank God for:
Looking back, the Youth Alive Main Event turn out in August was fantastic and the experience itself was quite impacting on our youth’s faith journeys. We also thank God for the growth in relationships among the youth themselves.
Prayer Points:
That discipleship can become stronger in coming year.
Acknowledgements:
God, the team and the youth parents and their support.
Vision for 2026:
A focus on stronger discipleship.
Revival Young Adults (18-30yrs) – Dean & Yanina Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
We have been able to disciple the three young adults we started with and are finding that connections are being made with other young adults to grow this ministry. There has been interest from friends and new comers to church to join us.
Challenges:
We only had three young adults to begin with, however, this meant rich discipleship opportunities that were personalised to them.
We celebrate/thank God for:
The fact that the three young adults are walking with the Lord and that we have been able to disciple them in various different contexts given that they are in two other ministries we lead.
Prayer Points:
For us to be able to welcome new young adults into this space.
Acknowledgements:
God, the young adults that have encouraged their friends along to church.
Vision for 2026:
To have an established regular gathering for the young adults to grow in their faith and in their sense of community with the family of God.
Young Adults (Seniors 30+) – Richard and Abigail Yeboah
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
Instead of a group-based ministry, we have successfully shifted towards an individual (one on one) approach. There has been a general and open dialogue and group members are often willing to share intimate details about their faith journey and other aspects of their lives.
Challenges:
Each member of the group has particular needs and at times can be difficult to meet everyone's needs at once. growth is not exponential but gradual.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We'd like to thank God for the people involved in the ministry and the journeys that God has them on individually.
Prayer Points:
Prayer for Abigail and myself as we continue to figure out how to effectively serve all our group members. And prayer for John Goodship, who will be stepping into a different phase after getting married but has also expressed a deep desire to become a part of leading this group.
Acknowledgements:
Pastor Tony, Dean, Yanina, Abigail and Richard, Pastor Milton, Anne.
Respond Young Families – Josh & Eva McKenna
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
This ministry is in its infancy still. In total there has been 2 gatherings organised after a service. Both were well received. A big achievement was the opportunity to have non-believers attend both of these gatherings and express how welcoming and non-judgmental everyone was. It has also really helped us to go know other families in our church that we wouldn't often get the chance to speak to (unless the children are in rejoice kids). Josh and I are still finding our feet with this ministry and praise God for His grace with us.
Challenges:
Time is always a factor. This sounds rather lazy but finding the time to lock in dates has been a little difficult for us but something that can be easily achieved if organised in advance – we’re working on it. From a personal point of view, I do at times feel like I am letting the families down because I feel the families expected a lot more from this ministry than we have offered thus far.
We celebrate/thank God for:
How great have the family services been. Thank you, Milton for implementing this into ReChurch, what a blessing it has been. Praise God for the provision to invite new people into the church who have continued to stay on. Yanina - thank you for providing a space to invite children to participate in talks up the front with them. This has blessed their parents so much, they often tell me how much they love it.
Prayer Points:
The Lord helps us to listen and respond to the plan He has for this ministry to ensure we support children and families and their needs.
Acknowledgements:
Josh - your wisdom and grace is a gift. Thank you for listening to God and understanding the Bible in a way that your able to talk to parents (and parents to be) without judgement. Milton - Thank you for the family services. You have provided a space where the door is open to everyone. God has used this and we are seeing the fruit begin to prosper. Yanina - thank you for the hard work that goes on behind the scenes (locking in dates, administration, printing, organising, chasing us up when we don't respond). Thank you for your grace and patience.
Vision for 2026:
Josh and I often talk about excursions or events for families and children. This could be a carpark BBQ, zoo excursion, picnic at park, overnight retreat, parent prayer session, children's messy play and so on.
Refuel Men – Milton Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
This ministry is just starting to expand. The MEAT nights have been generally well attended during the year. These are purely social connecting events. In June we held our first Refuel “Men of Courage” worship, which was well attended. The second “Men of Courage” event was held on October 19th. These important evening worship settings have encouraged a distinct men’s spirituality to emerge focusing on spiritual responsibility, spiritual authority and spiritual warfare.
Like the song says, “We’ve only just begun”. Momentum is developing and we are looking at quarterly “Men of Courage” worship events, and other specific men’s outreach events in 2026
Challenges:
We’re looking for leaders who can take on this important area of ministry.
We celebrate/thank God for:
The great spirit of our first two “Call to Courage” events.
Prayer Points:
That more and more men will see the value of these events and encourage others to attend.
That the men of ReChurch will become great spiritual role models for our boys and youth.
Acknowledgements:
Very special thanks to the following who have been integral in overseeing and conducting the Refuel Men’s events.
· Steve Krcmar (MEAT nights)
 · Sofie Krcmar (MEAT nights food)
 · Dean Oliver (MEAT nights & Call to Courage)
 · Josh McKenna (Call to Courage)
 · James Looi (Call to Courage)
 · Craig Bird (MEAT nights food)
Vision for 2026:
A significantly expanded Refuel Men’s ministry.
Refresh Women – Anne Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
Refresh Women has had / will have only two events in 2025. The event held before Easter was very warmly received and positive experience for those who attended. It provided time and space for individual meditation and connection with the Lord. The second event will be more social and fun, but still with meaningful content.
Challenges:
There is no functioning leadership of Refresh Women. The previous group which organized events has not come together this year.
We celebrate/thank God for:
The Easter event was a beautiful experience - praise the Lord for his hand on this.
Prayer Points:
Pray for some women to sense a call to help lead this ministry into the future.
Acknowledgements:
Thank you to Yanina for maintaining some momentum and for largely facilitating the Easter event.
Vision for 2026:
The vision for Refresh Women, as I see it, is to provide opportunities for women to experience deeper fellowship and significant spiritual experiences together with other women.
Connect Groups – Milton Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
We currently have eight Connect Groups of different kinds operating in Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park and Sunbury with over 65 ReChurch members participating each week for fellowship, study of the Word and mutual ministry. Each group is different, has its own personality and style, and each is a very safe and caring environment as we do life together and grow as disciples. This year has seen some encouraging and very rich growth in the newer groups whilst other more established groups have continued to maintain a strong steady-as-she-goes week-to-week ministry maintaining quality care and ministry environments . Our Connect Groups cover all adult demographics and meet at different times and places during the week – there is one near you.
The Connect Groups are far more than just Bible Study groups. Bible study is just one of the functions of a Connect Group. They are special places of honest fellowship, encouragement, prayer, support, socialising, sharing and so on.
Everyone needs to be in a Connect Group.
The focus this year has been on growing as disciples and developing a serious discipleship culture at ReChurch. The main resource for Group Leaders has been the Nuts & Bolts of Discipleship study series – an introductory booklet, a detailed study guide, and in the latest study units, a leaders’ guide, as well.
The Nuts & Bolts Series I has focused on the biblical foundations of discipleship including fundamental doctrinal truths – the “nuts and bolts” of how our faith is put together, so to speak. The current series so far has covered:
1. The Fall of Humanity into Sin
 2. The Atonement
 3. Salvation
 4. Born Again
 5. The Spiritual Life of the Born-Again Person
Coming soon …
 6. Sanctification
 7. The Fruit of the Spirit
 8. The Gifts of the Spirit
 9. The Disciple-Making Disciple
Nuts & Bolts Series II will appear in 2026
The Nuts & Bolts series has helped develop a common language about discipleship at ReChurch, and has certainly raised awareness of how important it is. It has also been a very slow-burn but intentional process that makes the kind of disciples that are very capable of teaching others everything Jesus commanded. That’s the end game – a rich disciple-making culture.
One special new thing over the last 18 months has been the establishment of a Zoom Connect Group. I will admit I was a little sceptical about how it would go – at first. But here we are well down the track and the Zoom Group is catering for people who cannot travel at night, or who have work, children or other constraints making other
options really difficult. The “Zoomies” comprise people from Clarkefield, Craigieburn, Braybrook, Sunbury, Dallas, Doreen – and even Brisbane! And it works so well. Such is the power of committed people who have made it all work with their attendance each week.
Challenges:
Our church is growing! We need more Connect Groups! That means we need more Connect Group Leaders. As we grow as a church we get bigger and smaller at the same time. That is, larger worship services in terms of numbers, but more Connect Group environments where we still have smaller spaces for intimate sharing and growing; as well as opportunities for gaining experience in using our spiritual gifts and developing our individual ministries.
Right now, we need at least three new groups – probably five - but that means we need at least three to five new leaders soon. It’s a good challenge to have!
It is likely that the Sunbury Connect Group will multiply next year, that another two groups will be established in Craigieburn (including a women’s day group), and possibly another Zoom Connect Group.
We celebrate/thank God for:
· The growth in numbers in the Connect Groups.
· The growing effectiveness of Nuts & Bolts Series I.
· The developing discipleship maturity in each group.
· The rich diversity of our Connect Groups.
Prayer Points:
We need more leaders so that we can create more groups.
Pray for our dedicated leaders some of whom have been serving for nearly twenty years!
Acknowledgements:
No Connect Group system can be established or grow deep roots without the dedicated commitment of our Connect Group Leaders. They are an amazing and special bunch of senior leaders of ReChurch. They have taken specific training to develop Group Leader skills and take great care to prepare each week. I take this opportunity to honour and thank them for the dedication as shepherds, their diligence as teachers and coaches, and their sacrificiality that is invested so richly in our church.
Thank you to …

Vision for 2026:
New Connect Groups & Leaders (see above)
A deepening disciple-making culture.
Healing Rooms - Annette McKenna
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
ReChurch Healing Rooms has enjoyed another year of witnessing the amazing grace and healing power of our God. Over the past twelve months we have had up to 10 people arrive on a Saturday for healing prayer on two of the months, at other times there might only be two or three and on the odd occasion we haven’t had anyone turn up. However, these days are never without opportunity to pray for those in our fellowship as well as family and friends that we are aware of who have needs in terms of healing. We have also had valuable times of ministering to one another on the prayer team. One of the biggest changes I have noticed over the past twelve months has been that more people are coming from outside our church fellowship and the prayer requests have shifted from asking for physical healing initially to needing deliverance ministry for deep emotional hurts and bondages/curses that have been spoken over peoples’ lives either deliberately or inadvertently. From my perspective and the teams, we have valued and benefitted from Milton’s expertise and guidance in these areas. We are very aware that this ministry carries a big weight of responsibility to care for and treat people with respect, dignity and confidentiality. Some of the prayees have come over a few sessions as they come from churches that do not offer this prayer ministry which is disappointing to hear. However, we always reassure them to continue in their churches but let them know that they are always welcome to come for prayer ministry with us. Because these people are not part of our fellowship, we don’t always get feedback concerning the answers to their prayers. However, when we do hear what God is doing in this space it is really encouraging for the team and all the glory belongs to our God.
Challenges:
One of the main challenges to this ministry is having enough people trained up and willing to commit to the ministry every month. As we do not know from month to month how many people will turn up, it can be difficult to always have the right ratio and gender appropriate teams for the ministry.
We celebrate/thank God for:
· The increase and growth in the present prayer team as we learn how to discern and use the wisdom God gives us as we wait on Him.
· Having a peaceful space to invite reflection and meditation to prepare our hearts for ministry.
· Opportunities to encourage and learn from one another.
· Times to celebrate the countless answers to prayer and the often times that God surprises us with His revelation.
Prayer Points:
· Praising God for the many opportunities and times that we have witnessed physical healing and spiritual/emotional deliverance from bondage over peoples’ lives.
· Pray for an increase in team members so that several teams can operate and share the responsibility of providing timely and consistent ministry.
· Pray for the team for wisdom and discernment in every situation as we respect and treat each prayee with dignity and confidentiality.
· Pray for those who have experienced answered prayer for healing, that they would continue to experience what God has for them.
· Pray that the ReChurch website and personal testimonies would encourage more people to attend healing rooms.
· Pray for churches in our region who do not have healing prayer ministries that they would develop and encourage the training of members to provide this valuable ministry resource.

The Healing Rooms prayer ministry team consists of the following people: Anne Oliver, Milton Oliver, Annette McKenna, Ian McKenna, Steve Krcmar, Anthony Adediran, Lauren Baker, Alma Ferguson, Nannette Wilkinson, and Frances Carlson The team has grown this year with the addition of Lauren Baker, Alma Ferguson and Nannette Wilkinson. The other members have served faithfully over many years since the development of this ministry at ReChurch and what they bring to the team is greatly appreciated. As mentioned earlier in this report, Milton’s expertise and guidance for the team in deliverance ministry cannot be underestimated. He provides experience and wisdom that empowers and equips the team in many circumstances that may be new to us. Frances Carlson has done an amazing job manning the front desk and making people feel very welcome and at ease. My heartfelt thanks to the Team.
Vision for 2026:
The vision for 2026 would be to see an increased team of trained and passionate prayer warriors willing to commit to and be present for the ministry once a month. Other opportunities would be for some team members to be available on a Wednesday (Foodbank Day) to minister to those coming to collect food parcels from the Foodbank. To continue seeing peoples’ lives touched and healed by an amazing God as we celebrate the privilege of serving Him in this ministry.
Prayer Ministry – Kristine Lutter
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The Sunday morning prayer team continues to play a vital role in enhancing our worship services and serves as a blessing to those yearning for a deeper experience with Jesus. This year, we have introduced a team lead, which has significantly improved our ability to ensure that everyone receives prayer. Moreover, our new practice of gathering immediately after the service to pray together as a team has created a supportive environment where each member can also be prayed for.
Challenges:
Rather than viewing our current focus as challenges, we can see them as valuable opportunities for building momentum within our team. By encouraging one another to pray in pairs, we are fostering a collaborative spirit. We are also looking to recruit more individuals who can commit to being consistently available for prayer.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We are thankful for each person who faithfully serves the Lord by praying for others every Sunday. Their dedication is inspiring and plays a crucial role in the spiritual growth of our community. Additionally, we celebrate the transformative experiences of those coming forward for prayer and applaud their steps of faith.
Prayer Points:
We are also looking to recruit more individuals who can commit to being consistently available for prayer.
Acknowledgements:
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the team members who willingly step up each Sunday, even when they may find it challenging to process the message immediately. Their commitment is deeply appreciated.
Vision for 2026:
Looking ahead, our vision includes strengthening our team cohesion and refining our processes, such as implementing pair prayer strategies.
School of the Prophetic – Milton Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The School of the Prophetic meets once a month on a Monday night via Zoom. It is a special environment for those with the spiritual gifts of prophecy, intercession and wisdom – and for those who want to develop their prophetic capacity - to hear from God in specific ways. All Christians can prophesy, of course, but some have the gift capacity. The School of the Prophetic is an environment – a safe and encouraging environment – where people can explore and practice these specific spiritual gifts.
Currently, around 18 people are participating, including 4 elders.
Throughout the year there have been some rich and encouraging meetings together. From many of these times, after careful weighing and interpreting, a lot of what has been received has been conveyed to the church family for their encouragement and strengthening. Some of what has been shared has been immensely encouraging.
The range of prophetic revelation has varied. A lot of this year we have sensed God leading and encouraging and confirming what the church is doing. Other times God has shown us, for our encouragement, what He has done – sometimes we don’t realise. At other times, still, God has graciously warned the church and encouraged us to come deep with Him. Of late, another dimension to the School of the Prophetic has emerged, and that is about global/world perspectives. It has become clear to us that what we are seeing in the world right now is reaction to what God is doing in the spiritual realm – and it has only just begun. Jesus’ prophetic words are appropriate here:
Matthew 24:6-8 (NIV) [Jesus] “You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
The School of the Prophetic provides confirmatory strength and encouragement to the leadership and the church. Perhaps one of the richest days this year was when we had prophetic confirmation during June worship services culminating on Vision Sunday about the importance of this harvest season.
Challenges:
Although we meet via Zoom (in order to accommodate as many people as possible) it isn’t quite the same as meeting in person – there is a distinct difference. However, thanks to the high commitment and patience of members it still works well.
Sometimes we have received prophetic downloads from God which we sense are authentic and weighty – and complex. And this is happening more and more. Our discernment is that God is drawing this group into deeper waters, because it is time for the group to increase in prophetic capacity.
Another challenge has been learning to properly steward all that God has given us. This remains somewhat of a concern because there has been so much it has been difficult to keep up – but who can keep up with God. We are also learning that God sometimes shows us things that are purely to be enjoyed and which help us to know His heart and mind.
We celebrate/thank God for:
New people have been added to the School of the Prophetic this year and some of these have quickly grown proficient in this special environment. It has been exciting!
Prayer Points:
That this ministry continues to grow and mature as a helpful and sensible ministry to the church. We are sensing that the prophetic ministry of the church is poised to enter into a crucial season right now.
Acknowledgements:
Special thanks to Anne Oliver who has faithfully scribed for us again this year.
Vision for 2026:
As mentioned above, to see this ministry expand in capacity and grow in authority to support the church in these very interesting days.
Creative Arts/Worship – Dean & Yanina Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
It’s been so wonderful seeing some of our team develop and grow, not just in their craft but in their spirituality. Seeing the kids get involved in the family services, and experiencing the depth of worship grow as He increases, and we decrease. His very presence has become our sole desire.
Challenges:
Sometimes, we face a juggling act with our team coverage, particularly when musicians are needed to serve in the Audio-Visual (AV) space instead of the band. Also, some people may not realise that we have some important processes in place by which new people are integrated into our ministries. This should not be interpreted as a “closed shop” mentality, or exclusivity, or anything like that. It is about bringing our best to the Lord each week. Our pathways are clear, our standards are high, yet welcoming of all who are called to minister in the worship spaces.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We are thankful for the privilege to host His presence weekly. And for a great team that is happy to be on each week to minister.
Prayer Points:
Guidance and wisdom on how to bring the next generation of creatives into these spaces.
Acknowledgements:
God, the team, Ps Milton for his leadership.
Vision for 2026:
Beginning some internships with U18 emerging creatives and growing the team numerically. Also having some space/time for team gatherings.
Welcome Team – Anne Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The Welcome Team has seen growth in numbers and in experience during 2025. We feel privileged to serve the Lord in this ministry. Our aim is to help people feel accepted, relaxed, and able to receive from the Lord. We also aim to help people settle into our church as quickly and easily as they would like. We feel that the Welcome Team helps to set the atmosphere of acceptance and peace which many people find during their visit and as they become part of our church family.
Challenges:
The Welcome Team is looking to become more adept at collecting information that helps them keep in touch with us, and helps us more effectively meet their needs where we can. We are also constantly looking for ways to improve out ministry as the Lord guides us.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We celebrate the growth in our team, the positive feedback we receive, and what the Lord is doing in and through our church family.
Prayer Points:
Pray that we will effectively help those who come to feel welcome and valued, particularly those coming for the first time.
Acknowledgements:
The wonderful team! Pastor Milton for helping with training.
Vision for 2026:
Our vision is to continue to grow and develop in order to support the mission of Rechurch.
CN Inc Foodbank – Lauren Baker
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
At the start of this year, the Lord led us to move away from using translators and instead rely on ourselves and the help of community members attending the foodbank. Since making this change, we have noticed a real shift in the Spirit at Rechurch Foodbank. God has been bringing in people who are not only in need of food but also seeking authentic connections and community. Many arrive at their lowest point, and it has been such a blessing to walk alongside them as they begin to rebuild their lives. Alongside this, God has been opening doors through new connections. We’ve developed relationships with Scotty’s Wholesale Meats, the family who owns Sunzest Wholesale Orange Juice, and Renee, the Community Relationships Coordinator – Metro, who gave us a very encouraging report when she visited and showed genuine interest in our ministry during her meeting with Milton. Most recently, we have also begun conversations with Second Chance Animal Rescue, who are interested in partnering with us to provide free cat and dog food to families in need of support. We are in the process of creating clear guidelines that will enable us to focus our support more effectively on the clients who are most in need. These help us manage our resources responsibly while still creating a welcoming space for everyone who comes through our doors. We continue our turnover process, directing ongoing support to those who rely on us the most, while overall trusting the Holy Spirit to guide us in discerning who should remain under our care for the longer term. Each week we see over 50 clients, and we are committed to maintaining a steady number so that food supplies remain consistent and sufficient for every household. As of late, the café area has begun to take on a special role. A number of clients now enjoy sitting with volunteers, and it has quickly become a space where they can relax, chat, and feel at home. For some, it’s the highlight of their visit. Alma has also launched two small fundraising projects, which have been successful in raising some funding for our foodbank.
Challenges:
The main challenges our foodbank is facing are:
Not having enough funds to buy food (especially meat).
We are not receiving enough food from Foodbank Victoria, our main supplier.
We lack volunteers to share the load. Our current team is faithful and committed, but most are retirees. While they do a fantastic job, it can be exhausting coming in each week. More volunteers, especially men who can help with heavy lifting, would take the pressure off people like Joe and Colin who often shoulder the bulk of that work. Another challenge is clients who are not attending for genuine reasons but simply making the rounds at different foodbanks. They often have no interest in building relationships and can be quite demanding, which is challenging for our volunteers and shifts the atmosphere.
We celebrate/thank God for:
Even with the small amount of food we receive, God always makes sure there is enough for everyone who truly needs support each week. We’ve also seen the Lord gently breaking down walls and softening hearts. People are beginning to trust us, and many now come to sit, share their struggles, and celebrate their joys. More and more are asking for prayer, and many of those who are genuinely seeking support also prove to be people of peace. God has shown us so much grace, blessing us with the discernment and wisdom to truly serve those who come to our foodbank in need of His help. At times, He has revealed to us the deeper needs of clients we might not have seen at first, and it has been such a joy to watch Him start to transform their lives as they return week by week. We also thank the Lord that some clients have been attending family services, enjoying both the worship and the fellowship over morning tea and lunch. Another blessing we have witnessed at foodbank is the joy and sense of purpose clients experience when they step in to help with translation, whether for a family member or for new clients wanting to learn more about our service. This spirit of community support is especially evident during school holidays, when children accompany their parents. Many are eager to translate for others, and it is wonderful to see the pride they feel in being able to serve in this way. It has been deeply encouraging to hear from clients as they share their experiences with us. Some who initially felt hesitant or uncomfortable have since built strong relationships with our volunteers. Quite a few now come in not only to receive food, but also to sit, chat, and ask for prayer, something they once declined. Others who arrived carrying heavy burdens, such as family struggles or physical or mental health concerns, have found renewed strength and hope. We’ve seen people start to rebuild their lives by pursuing studies, giving back through donations when they can, or encouraging newer clients who are facing similar challenges. One client recently told us that coming to the foodbank feels “like visiting old friends,” while another shared their joy after attending a family service for the first time. These glimpses of transformation remind us that our foodbank is more than a place to receive food; it is becoming a place of peace, community, and healing.
Prayer Points:
· Pray for further opportunities to share the Lord with our clients.
· Pray for the expansion of food sources, including community service food drives.
· Pray for more volunteers, especially those able to help with lifting and practical tasks.
Acknowledgements:
Welcome Team: Frances Comer, Sarina Rizzo, Alma Nepia, Diane Ried, and Joel Baker. Packers: Joe Oricco, Colin Mitchell, Gail Baker, Angela Coletta, and Marty Nepia. Extra Support: Yanina Oliver, Kristine Lutter, and Milton Oliver We cannot thank our Foodbank team enough. They are the reason this ministry continues to run each week. Their willingness to come in, serve the Lord, and care for our community is such a blessing. Our packing team does a wonderful job preparing the boxes with care and efficiency. They are always ready to step in when more food needs to be packed, ensuring families of all sizes receive what they need, even going the extra mile to provide a little more when larger families come through. The welcome team is equally invaluable. They greet every client with warmth and joy, offering not just a smile but also a listening ear for those who need to share their struggles. Guided by God’s discernment, they create an environment where people feel safe, supported, and loved. They are always ready to pray with clients, extending comfort and hope in times of need. Together, this team reflects Christ’s love in action, and we are deeply grateful for each of them. Although Milton, Yanina, and Kristine aren’t official Foodbank volunteers, we are deeply grateful for the times they step in to help. Whether it’s with administration, prayer, or offering extra support to clients when needed, their willingness to serve has been an incredible blessing. A special thank you to Joe for driving out to the Foodbank Victoria Warehouse to pick up our food each week. We are especially grateful to the Sunzest family for donating a large crate of oranges to our foodbank each week, and to Scotty’s for offering a 50% discount on all meat purchases, vacuum-packing it by the kilo, and providing free delivery. Their generosity has been an incredible blessing to our ministry. As well as share the dignity charity who donates pads and nappy collective who donates nappies.
Vision for 2026:
· Launch new fundraising ventures to strengthen the ministry’s financial sustainability.
· Growing a bigger fundraising team.
· Grow our relationship with the Hume council.
· Continue expanding and encouraging use of the café area, so that it remains a space where we can continue to build relationships and minister to our clients.
· Build on the partnership with Renee, who has expressed interest in fostering stronger networks between community services in Hume. By sharing information and working together, we can better support disadvantaged residents and make a greater impact in their lives.
· Establish a partnership with Second Chance Animal Rescue to provide pet food support.
Sunday Morning Hospitality – Gail Baker
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The Morning Tea ministry has not experienced significant development this year, but we continue to do the best we can with the volunteers available. Our volunteers are wonderful and dedicated, though it remains challenging to attract new people to join the team. During the year, we trialled a self-serve approach. Still, after consultation with the congregation, it was agreed that a served model worked better, especially to ensure the safety of children. A positive development has been the introduction of hot chocolate sachets, which have been very popular. The children enjoy them and are becoming more confident in asking for them; now, many adults are enjoying them as well. Morning Tea continues to provide an essential opportunity for fellowship. People stay after church to enjoy coffee, tea, biscuits, cakes, and hot chocolate, creating a warm and welcoming environment. As part of the wider Welcome Team, this ministry continues to bless people as they exit after church, encouraging them to stay, connect, and feel at home in our community.
Challenges:
One of our ongoing challenges is the need for more volunteers to share the workload and strengthen the ministry. Our current team is committed, but extra hands would make it easier to sustain and develop this vital area of fellowship. Another challenge is that sometimes people express preferences or concerns about what is served, but are not interested in contributing to the ministry themselves. This can be discouraging for the team, yet it also highlights the importance of inviting more people to see the value of serving and the blessing it brings to others.
We celebrate/thank God for:
The loyal volunteers who faithfully give their time. The fellowship that already takes place after church, as people stay, connect, and encourage one another. The peaceful and welcoming environment that the Lord continues to bless us with during Morning Tea.
Prayer Points:
· Pray that God would raise new volunteers with gifts and a heart to serve.
· Pray for wisdom, unity, and encouragement for the team as they continue to bless and welcome others through this ministry.
· Pray that the Lord would give the team clear direction and guidance for the year ahead, so that the ministry may grow and strengthen fellowship within our church community.
Acknowledgements:
Alma, Lauren, Diane, Sarah, Agnes, Letitia, Brenda, Nelly, Wendy, Yanina.
Vision for 2026:
Encourage those who enjoy preparing food to contribute to Morning Tea, helping to expand variety and hospitality. Coordinate with the Welcome Team to strengthen how we connect with newcomers, ensuring that every person attending church feels seen, valued, and warmly included.
Stay For Lunch – Yanina Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
The SFL team have continued to tweak the way we do things to run more efficiently to allow a more relaxed experience for both the congregation and the volunteers in this area. The team has become established in the kitchen and we have a few people that can now wear different hats if needed. The Coffee Bar team is still in the process of being established (as it requires trained volunteers) but we have been able to operate it all but one SFL since it's opening.
Challenges:
This team only gathers once a month to operate the kitchen and coffee bar and given the fact that we are catering for a whole congregation all at the same time, it can be high pressure service times. It would be great for those serving in these spaces to have connections outside of this environment to build stronger team connections.
We celebrate/thank God for:
The volunteers and their attitudes towards this service ministry. As well as an established standard of high-quality food and barista drinks.
Prayer Points:
Deeper connections for the team members.
Acknowledgements:
Special thanks to Flara and Johnny for their investment and leadership in this ministry, the Baker family for their consistency and amazing work ethic as well as all our other volunteers: Gyabaah family, Agnes & Lois, Connor, Jaden, Joshua, Darren & Gracie, Max & Tom.
Vision for 2026:
Growing the Coffee Bar team, continuing to tweak and improve service, food and the acoustics of the cafe area to encourage fellowship.
Property – Milton Oliver
Growth/Developments/Achievements:
We are so blessed to have the worship and mission centre God has given us. Of course, with having our own property comes responsibilities – proper maintenance, upgrades and repairs. Below are listed some of the larger issues we have attended to this last year.
“Heavage” – in front of the toilet area below the concrete slab water has accumulated and caused some “heavage” (upward pressure) which has slightly moved a door frame at the men’s toilets entrance. This is not a major structural issue. We have had professionals assess this damage and, in simple terms, the moisture below the slab needs drying out, through some external drainage measures in front of the storeroom doors. This will be undertaken in warmer months and new concreting done to prevent further seepage.
Air Conditioning – we have regular servicing carried out. Recently, it was determined that the auditorium time clock has not worked from day one, thus delaying heating/cooling measures. This has now been rectified and the time clock switches on at 5:30 am, ready for worship.
Roofing – we have had some minor leaks which have been repaired as soon as detected.
Vacant Blocks – we continue to be blessed by Russel Dean who keeps the grass and weeds down to an acceptable level. Thank you, Russel. We are continuing to run out of car parking spaces in our main carpark. We have therefore approached Hume City Council utilise these blocks for overflow car parking. This process is currently underway.
Cleaning & Garden – Ian and Annette and Natalie McKenna clean the building each week. We are so grateful for their servant-hearts and generosity. This is no small commitment and has saved the church thousands of dollars. Robert and Wendy Jeeves have also continued to take care of gardening and regular lawn mowing, too, and we thank them for their commitment in keeping the place tidy.
Signage – wind damage tore some of our signage off the facia some weeks ago and this has been repaired and other lettering reinforced.
Property damage – recently severe winds tore off some of the panelling under our main entrance portico roof. This was covered under an insurance claim. Actual cost was $5600.
Weatherboards – the weatherboarded area and French doors needs major repairs (approx. $5000) as these are no longer weatherproof. It is anticipated these works will be carried out in the next few weeks.
Working Bees – we have conducted two working bees this year. Thanks to all who have attended to help.
Challenges:
Keeping in top of maintenance is a constant challenge, but we are managing. Ideally, we would love to have a property maintenance coordinator to oversee all property maintenance matters on a timely basis. If you are interested, please call Ps Milton.
We celebrate/thank God for:
We are so blessed to have such facilities! Praise God for His provision.
Prayer Points:
We need a property maintenance coordinator.
